Environmentally Friendly Accounting Firm NSBN LLP Saves 18,000 Plastic Water Bottles Annually From Landfills

Los Angeles, California, March 25, 2009 NSBN LLP (www.nsbn.com) Certified Public Accountants and Business Consultants announced that they will no longer be providing plastic water bottles for its staff of nearly 80.  As part of the CPA firm's "NSBN Goes Green" program, the firm has installed a new drinking water filtration system.  To kick off the first day of the filtration use, each employee received a new stainless steel water bottle.  As a result, NSBN will be saving our landfills from 18,000 plastic water bottles per year.

NSBN Manager Robin Brock, CPA, had read articles on how costly the usage of plastic water bottles was for our environment.  "That is when I came to the decision that I would stop using plastic water bottles," said Brock. "When I shared my thoughts with my co-workers, they felt the same way." Co-worker Ariel White, CPA and Manager at NSBN, said, "Not only do the plastic water bottles fill up our landfills, it's also the packaging and transportation that are harmful to our environment." After hearing the "Green Team's" suggestions, Kenneth A. Miles, CPA, NSBN Managing Partner, decided to implement the new system to help the environment.  "It also saves the firm money, it is a win-win" says Miles, "which is not such a bad example for other companies to think about in these tough economic times."
